Long infrared

The long infrared is between 4 and 10µm. These wavelengths can be obtained by different technologies:

Ceramic emitters , robust products commonly used in industry, have a fairly high thermal inertia (several minutes). They are used for deep heating

The applications of radiant heating are numerous, particularly in plastics: heating before shaping (thermoforming), temperature maintenance, drying in industries such as screen printing, food, wood, etc.…

Armored elements are also used

Long infrared

The long infrared, with a wavelength between 4 and 10 µm, is the widest field of work, the ceramic emitters working at lower temperatures allow the preheating or the surface heating of the materials.

These emitters can also be used for heating living beings.

Ceramic infrared emitter

Technical characteristics

Acim Jouanin offers 2 ranges of curved or flat emitters, for a maximum surface temperature of 700°C.

  • Heating wires embedded in a ceramic structure,
  • Transmitters covered with a special enamel, protecting them from corrosive attacks,
  • Power supply by 2 wires protected by ceramic beads, length 100 mm,
  • Fixing by metal clip (bracket) and spring clipped on the terminal block
  • Variation of emitters fitted with an incorporated K thermocouple.
  • Supply voltage 230V mono

.

Ceramic emitters have many advantages:

  • long life: 20,000 hours
  • splash water and corrosion resistant
  • uniform radiation

Technical characteristics

In order to obtain a better yield, the energy must be concentrated on the product to be heated. Acim Jouanin offers you a range of reflectors suitable for curved emitters.

  • Aluminized sheet reflector
  • Central cutout for passage of the transmitter terminal block and holes for passage of the spacers and the domino.
  • Reflector supplied with its fixing kit (spacers, nuts, ceramic domino).
  • Some reflectors can accommodate multiple emitters of different sizes

.

In order to extend the connection of our thermocouples, we offer extension and compensation wires, stranded, type J and K. The conductors are PVC insulated for resistance up to 100°C or glass silk for resistance up to 300°C, with or without metal braid.

We offer a range of compensated connectors , type J and K , mini or standard format, available from stock . They are used to connect thermocouples to measuring devices. The negative and positive terminals are of different sizes to avoid reverse polarity.

Product range

Stock range :

  • Reflector length: 125 to 1000 mm
  • Current 16A
  • Range of reflectors that can accommodate 1 HTE emitter (122 x 60 mm) up to 2 HTE emitters (122 x 60 mm) + 3 FTE (122 x 60 mm)
