Essential products in the field of plastics industry, Acim Jouanin band heaters are elements of various diameters and heights, intended for heating and maintaining the temperature of cylindrical parts (pipes, nozzles, sleeves, etc.)
They are connected by wires, terminals or pins inserted or not in a connection box. A tightening system adapted to temperature constraints keeps the band heater in contact with the support to be heated, regardless of the expansion of this one.
The heat transfers between the band heater and the part to heat are carried out mainly by conduction or by radiation for the most powerful models.

A wide choice of band heaters adapted to your needs
- Mica band heaters: Commonly used in the plastics industry for temperature holding or for heating pipes or nozzles for melting materials (340 ° C max), shielded mica band heaters can be manufactured according to your specifications or supplied from our ranges in stock.
- Ceramic band heaters: Alternative to shielded mica band heaters for temperature ranges above 450°C, their design is based on an assembly of ceramic barrels allowing them to operate in more demanding mechanical and temperature conditions (700°C max) .
- Mineral insulated band heaters: With a specific design based on mineral insulation, they combine high power density in a small footprint. This technology combines the benefits of mica and ceramic band heaters but at very high temperatures (800°C max.)
- Shielded mica band heaters with waterproof profile: Recommended if you are in an industrial environment with risks of material overflows. The tightness of the body of the band heater and of the connection cover prevents the entry of material and improves the lifetime of the bandheater. They mainly equip the nozzles of injection machines.
- Shielded band heaters with radial connector: Used if you are in a severe production environment which requires daily robustness (glassware, metallurgy, etc.).
- Energy-saving band heater: Our eco-responsible products meet the environmental and economic constraints linked to your energy consumption. Thermal insulation significantly reduces power consumption.
- Ventilated band heaters: Used to control the thermal inertia of the process by adding a cooling function, they are mainly found in the field of extrusion. They are an economical alternative to water or gas cooling systems.
