Tubular heaters

Also called shielded elements, these electrical resistances intended for heating liquids, gases or solids, are all designed from a resistive wire (nickel-chromium), centered in a cylindrical metal sheath (shielding) filled with a compacted electrical insulator (magnesia) and powered by terminals or cables at each end.

Depending on the application, the environment and the power installed, the shielded elements can be used bare , fitted with fins for heating air or molded for heating solids.

Distinguished by their robustness and their ability to emit their heat by convection, conduction or radiation, they have a high heating inertia due to their design.

Present in many industrial applications for both heating and temperature maintenance, our tubular heaters are mainly produced according to your specifications and can be customized to meet specific needs: varied geometric shapes, dimensions, voltage, connectors, etc.

Heaters adapted to your needs

(Shapes, natures of the tube, power density, etc.)

Applications

Straight or shaped, tubular elements are suitable for heating air or solids:

  • Space heating in free or forced convection, …
  • Heating plates, welding plates , …
  • Radiating elements for raclette machines, maintaining the temperature of dishes, heated display cases , etc.
  • Thermomaturation of concrete parts, …
  • Freeze protection of railway switches , …

.

A category of tubular heaters intended for heating liquids by immersion is called immersion heaters .

Cast-in heaters are intended for heating extruder barrels and dies . Allowing great temperature uniformity, they are installed on equipment such as hot press plates, rolling mills, etc.

We are at your side to offer you adapted solutions and provide you with the type of tubular heaters that specifically meet your industrial application.
