Intended for heating metal drums, they are often used to raise the temperature of particularly viscous or even partially solidified materials. They are commonly associated with heating belts or blankets.
For heating in demanding environments, ATEX / IECEX versions are also available.

Heating Bases for Drums
Robust, the heating bases available from stock are intended for heating standardized metal drums of 200 liters .
- Adjustable Thermostat +50°C to +300°C
- Steel carcass protecting armored elements.
- Thermal insulation with high density rock wool.
- Remote connection cover.
- Power supply via H07RNF cable, 2 phases + earth, 1.5mm2, length 3m + standardized plug.

We are able to make made- to-measure bases, specifically adapted to the diameter of your drum, but also equipped with accessories such as handles to facilitate handling, a thermostat with another regulation range, etc.

Custom manufacturing : In addition to the stock model, we make custom models for drums and cylindrical containers of other diameters.
Manufacture according to standard EN 60335-1 :

ATEX / IECEX Heating Bases
Intended for heating drums in an ATEX and IECEX environment, our bases are qualified to work in gas zones 1 and 2 and dust zones 21 and 22, for temperature classes T6 (85°C) to T1 (450°C).
Manufactured exclusively to measure according to the product to be heated and the configuration of the receptacle, our ATEX heating bases meet the following conditions:
- Zone 1 (gas), zone 2 (gas), zone 21 (dust), zone 22 (dust).
- Gas groups IIA, IIB, IIC and Dust groups: IIIA, IIIB and IIIC
- Temperature class (to be specified): T6 (85°C), T5 (100°C), T4 (135°C), T3 (200°C), T2 (300°C) or T1 (450°C)
- Ambient temperature: -20°C to +60°C
- Certification: Ex II 2 GD – Ex d II C T6 to T1 Gb – Ex tb IIIC T85°C to T450°C Db

Features :
- Painted steel body, made up of one or more armored elements
- Thermal insulation with high density rock wool.
- Type “d” connection box (flameproof enclosure), IP 65 according to standard EN 60529. Optional IP 67.
- ATEX II C cable gland (3/4″ NPT or M25 maxi) for power cables and safety cables
- Ground terminals internal and external to the case.
- Base equipped with 2 thermal safety devices (probe or thermostat of your choice) whose sensitive elements are located in a sealed glove finger on the heating resistors
Our ATEX / IECEX heating bases are made to measure, according to your specifications, on our Evreux site. They are specifically adapted to the product to be heated and to the configuration of the drum.
Below is a summary of the main features:
- Base diameter: 200 mm mini ;
- Thickness: 63mm minimum ;
- The connection box is offset by 200 mm from the body of the base;
- The safeties can be of the bulb thermostat type, PT 100 probe, thermocouples (to be specified);
- Supply voltage: 750 V max ;
- Dissipated power: 27 kW max .
