Their articulated design allows a larger opening than the mica band heaters, facilitating their installation on the support.

Articulated Ceramic Band Heaters (CCA)

Technical characteristics

Commonly used up to 500 ° C, ceramic band heaters can reach temperatures of 700 ° C under certain conditions.

  • Outside sheet of the band heaters in aluminized , stainless steel or Inconel sheet, depending on the applications and operating temperature;
  • Electrical insulation of the heating wire by steatites;
  • Thermal insulation placed between the steatites and the armored sheet in order to limit the temperature of this sheet and direct the heat flow towards the part to be heated;
  • Connections: Direct connection by wires or terminals. Connection with terminals, plug or braided cable under box, in an axial, radial or tangential orientation;
  • Tightening by barrels nuts or spring loaded screws for diameters over 300 mm.

Articulated ceramic collars are exclusively made to measure, according to your specifications. Below is a summary of the main technical data:

  • Diameter: 60 to 630 mm . For diameters bigger than 380 mm, band heater made of several sectors;
  • Height: 500 mm max . For bigger dimensions, please consult us.
  • Thickness: 11.5mm
  • Optional accessories : sensor bridge, thermocouple insulted in the band heater, plug, etc.
  • Examples of specific design : cutouts and holes, sectors for supports of big diameter, high temperature connections, wires protected by ceramic beads, etc.
  • A protection system, called anti-burn sheet and made of perforated sheets can be installed on this type of band heaters (to increase user safety).

Technical characteristics

Ventilated band heaters are heating elements fitted with a fan to speed up the cooling of the heated part. These devices also replace cooling cast heaters, thus avoiding any risk of fluid leaks.

  • Outer casing of the band heater in aluminized or stainless steel sheet, guiding the air flow towards the part to be heated;
  • Fan specifically sized according to the installed wattage;
  • Band heaters mounted on a support linked to the outer casing;
  • Electrical insulation of the heating wire by steatites;
  • A thermal insulation isplaced between the steatites and the armored sheet in order to limit the temperature of this sheet and direct the heat flow towards the part to be heated;
  • Connections: terminals or braided cable under connection boxr, in a radial or tangential orientation, centered on the height of the band heater;
  • Tightening of the band heaters with barrels nuts. The outside frame is closed by quick release fasteners.

Ventilated articulated ceramic band heaters are custom made , according to your specifications. In addition to the temperature and cooling requirements, the design must also take into account the space available in order to position the fan.

Energy Saving Ceramic Band Heaters (CCEE)

Technical characteristics

Our eco-responsible range meets the environmental and economic constraints linked to your energy consumption. Thermal insulation significantly reduces power consumption.

  • Outer casing in aluminized or stainless steel sheet, depending on the applications and operating temperature, allowing the insulation performance to be maintained.
  • Electrical insulation by steatites.
  • Insulating structure with low thermal conductivity , protected by a metal structure equipped with a hinge allowing access to the heating band heater. Choice between two insulation technologies:
    • Thin layer of insulation, allowing an energy saving of 15% on average.
    • Thick layer of insulation, allowing an energy saving of 40% , on average.
  • Connections: Terminals, plug or braided cable under connection box. Orientation of the connection box: axial, radial or tangential.
  • Tightening of the band heater and of the the insulating structure: with barrels nuts
Product range
  • Custom made only, energy-saving ceramic band heaters adapt to your existing installations, advantageously replacing solutions such as insulating sleeves. The insulation allows to drastically reduce the heat loss on the outside of the band heater.
