Formable Coil Heaters
Formable coil heaters, also called RCF, are linear heating elements of small section allowing high power in a restricted volume. They allow conduction heating of parts of various shapes.
Formed on demand, these resistances can be delivered straight to be directly shaped on your machine. We have a large number of standard models in different sections in stock.

Formed on demand, these resistances can be delivered straight to be directly shaped on your machine. We have a large number of standard models in different sections in stock.
Commonly used in the plastics industry on nozzles and hot runners, formable coil heaters can be shaped in a spiral, by varying the spacing between turns to compensate for heat loss at the end of the part or inscribe the element in grooves.
In order to improve the transfer and the homogeneity of heat, it is possible to integrate a brass insert inside the forming.
Formable Coil Heaters
Compact and easy to assemble, formable coil heaters can be used as original equipment on cylindrical, flat or special-shaped parts… but also for troubleshooting, instead of specific heaters.
- Load on resistance body: 6 W/cm²;
- Operating temperature: 650°C on the sheath, depending on the section and the conditions of use;

Main characteristics :
- Outer sheath (shielding) in stainless steel with 3 different sections;
- Nickel-chromium heating wire insulated with highly compressed magnesium oxide;
- Junction between the sheath and the power cable protected by a stainless steel junction;
- Connectivity by wires with or without mechanical protection (glass silk sheath, braid, flexible metal sheath, etc.), with silicone sealing.
- Supply voltage: 230 V single phase

Formable coil heaters can be equipped with accessories or special finishes: type J thermocouple, clamping plate, overmolding, specific forming, etc.

By default, the heaters are straight, but they can be supplied shaped by us, according to your specifications.
Custom-made:

- Round: 1.8 mm to 8 mm
- Square: 1.8 x 1.8 mm to 8 x 8 mm
- Rectangular: 2.2 x 4.2 mm to 5 x 7 mm
- Duct length up to 2500 mm, depending on section.
- Power supply wires: without or with protection (glass silk sheath, flexible metal sheath)
