Temperature Sensors

Temperature measurement is essential to the proper functioning of your process.
We offer 2 temperature sensor technologies: thermocouples and platinum Pt100 .

We have a range of J or K type thermocouples available from stock. Customly-made, we also offer models type T, S, N .. adapted to your process, covering a wide temperature range.

Platinum Pt100 or RTD probes, 2, 3 or 4 wires, are renowned for their stability over time and allow more precision in temperature measurement but are slower than thermocouples, especially for ranges below 400°C.

Straight sheathed sensors

Technical characteristics

Sheathed Pt100 thermocouples and probes are small diameter, malleable and very reactive sensors. Also called mineral insulated temperature sensors, because insulated by compacted magnesia, they have a very good resistance to vibrations.

Rigid temperature sensors can be provided with a sheath protecting the measurement point. They are unsheathed. Their maximum temperature is limited by the type of cable used. They are used for example in boreholes, or for measurements in air flows.

Surface Sensors

Technical characteristics

Sensors for surface measurement come in various shapes to allow readings on flat surfaces (wafer shape, eyelet), but also on cylindrical surfaces such as nozzles (collar type thermocouples). Some models are provided with mounting holes.

Wide choice of J -type thermocouple shapes available from stock .

Small in size, they are used in the plastics industry. These thermocouples and Pt100 probes can be added to an existing installation, without making any changes to the process (holes in the sheath, replacement of the resistance, etc.).

Thermocouples and Pt100 probes with connection head

Accessories and termocouple thread

Technical characteristics

In addition to temperature sensors, we offer ranges of single-strand thermocouple wires, type J and K , with a section of 0.2 to 0.5 mm². In order to extend the connection of our thermocouples, we offer extension and compensation wires, stranded, type J and K. The conductors are PVC insulated for resistance up to 100°C or glass silk for resistance up to 300°C, with or without metal braid.

Connection bases for thermocouples and PT100 bayonet probes , with 1 or 2 lugs, must be screwed onto probe supports. We keep in stock a range of threaded bases in metric or gas pitch, for bayonets with an internal diameter of 10 to 14 mm.

We offer a range of compensated connectors, type J and K , mini or standard format, available from stock . They are used to connect thermocouples to measuring devices. The negative and positive terminals are of different sizes to avoid reverse polarity.

Slip-on fittings are used to hold a rigid or malleable sheathed sensor in place . The blocking is done by means of an olive located in the fitting, which is crimped on the sheath during screwing. Gas threaded connections BSP, NPT …
