Air Duct Heater

Heating air duct are used for the treatment of air in drying and cooking processes or the heating of buildings. Inserted in ducts , they heat the circulating air.

The coils are equipped with shielded heating resistors formed and mounted in a metal box fitted with flanges. The connectors are protected by a box, remote or not, depending on the temperatures of use.

Circular and Rectangular Air Duct Heater

Technical characteristics

These heaters are specially designed for air conditioning in a non-corrosive atmosphere and in forced convection (2m/s mini).

Rectangular in shape, the primary coils located at the level of the air handling unit, allow the entire volume of air to be heated.

The terminal duct heaters, circular in shape, are located before the supply vents. They complement the primary batteries.

Main characteristics :

  • Steel sheet metal with rubber interlocking, not insulated, spot welded.
  • Air duct heater composed of one or more armored stainless steel elements, with a power density of 3 to 4 W/cm².
  • Electrical connections on elements in IP40 casing
  • 2 cable glands: 1 for the power circuit, 1 for the control circuit
  • 2 safety devices: 1 with automatic reset and another with manual reset
  • 2 variations for each model: models equipped or not with a temperature control probe to be inserted in the duct
  • Optional: air flow controller, 24V input for external sources (PLCs, etc.)

Circular and rectangular duct heaters are available in 2 versions:
– unregulated air duct heaters
– Air duct heaters with air flow temperature regulation (probe -10°C to +35°C or probe +25°C to +90°C)

Standardized range of self-regulated and non-regulated circular batteries

  • Battery diameter: 125 to 630 mm, standard
  • Length: 325mm
  • Power: 500 W to 36 kW, depending on the diameter.
  • Power supply: 230 single-phase or 230V / 400V three-phase, depending on power.
  • Limiter with automatic reset: opening 60°C – closing 50°C, up to diameter 250 mm. For larger diameters: opening at 82°C

Standardized range of self-regulated and non-regulated rectangular air duct heaters.

  • Dimensions: from H 150 mm x W 200 mm to H 500 mm x W 800 mm, as standard.
  • Power: 500 W to 18 kW, depending on the section
  • Power supply: 230 single-phase or 230V / 400V three-phase, depending on power.
  • Limiter with automatic reset: opening 60°C – closing 50°C, up to diameter 250 mm. For larger diameters: opening at 82°C

Process Air Heater

Technical characteristics

These “frame” or “drawer” type air heaters are custom made according to your specifications . Particularly powerful, from a few kilowatts to several tens of kilowatts, their design is adapted to your installation.

Main characteristics :

  • Generally installed in a vertical position, they can be designed for horizontal mounting.
  • Fixing by flange on the duct or integrated in the drawer
  • Depending on the nature and the air flow, the heating elements can be bare, tubular or finned to promote heat exchange.
  • For models intended for high temperatures, the connection box will be space from the main body.
  • The Air process heaters are fitted with safety systems such as limiters or thermostats, as standard or with an optional probe.
  • The coupling of the elements and the electrical connection is carried out in a box equipped with cable glands for the power and the control.

Bare Wire Heaters

Technical characteristics

We make bare wire air heaters on mica or ceramic support, for powerful and fast heating.

  • Consisting of a coiled heating wire, of small section, supported by a mica or ceramic structure depending on the temperatures.
  • As the system allowing an instantaneous heating, it must be systematically associated with a sufficient blowing of air to ensure the heat exchange and to guarantee its good operation. This air must be free of any humidity, solvents or other flammable elements.
  • They can be equipped, as an option, with a safety limiter.

Custom made according to your needs, we can also repair your defective models. The wire alone can also be sold by weight, without backing.

Heating Tapes and Socks

Technical characteristics

In addition to our small section wires, we are able to offer a wide range of heating elements , in ribbon form or high temperature wire .

Used for example on welders, they also line high temperature ovens.

These alloys have excellent corrosion resistance and very good form stability:

  • Heating wire: Nickel-chromium 80/20 (Maximum operating temperature: 1200°C ) or Iron-Chromium-Aluminium (Maximum operating temperature: 1100°C), depending on the application.
  • Round or rectangular section depending on the type of wire.
  • Coil packaging or forming on demand, according to your specifications.
