At Acim Jouanin, we are committed to supporting the decarbonization of industry by offering more responsible electrical solutions, such as our electric heating elements and energy-saving heating collars. Unlike gas-powered solutions, these products reduce CO₂ emissions and deliver significant energy savings.
To further this approach, we have equipped our site with 257 photovoltaic panels, representing an installed capacity of 114 kWp in order to produce clean and renewable energy.
Why was this choice made?
- Reducing our dependence on fossil fuels: Limiting our environmental impact by producing clean and renewable energy locally.
- Investing for a more sustainable and competitive model: Choosing self-consumption to reduce our energy costs and strengthen our energy independence.
Summary of the First Sunny Days of April 2025:
- 15 MWh of solar electricity produced
- 52 MWh consumed in total
- 29% of our needs are met by solar energy
- 880 kg of CO₂ avoided.
This photovoltaic installation demonstrates our concrete commitment to a more environmentally friendly future and a more responsible industry. Following on from our nitrogen production unit, it is part of a series of initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental impact.
